Evaluation
of the benefits and drawbacks of receiving clinical supervision online This
research is being conducted by an international team under my leadership, comprising
I.T. specialists and clinicians from a range of disciplines in the field of professional

of Pathfinder NHS Trust's User Employment Project During
1999 I was involved in a one-year research project funded by the NHS Executive,
entitled Evaluation of Pathfinder NHS Trust's User Employment Project.
This assessed the impact of the UEP on: - The
lives of supported employees who have been helped back into employment by
the project;
- The quality of services offered
by those teams where user-employees have worked;
- Staff
attitudes toward those with mental health problems before and after working
with user-employees; and
- The public purse, taking
into account the cost savings of reduced levels of benefit expenditure, reduced
use of NHS resources and increased tax revenues, weighed against the running costs
of the project.
The project recruited a researcher
under my day-to-day management, and data collected produced some interesting results.
Publications include those referenced wihtin the publications
list on this site as Davidson & Perkins (1997) and Davidson (1997c; 1998f).
