Brenda
Curzon, BSocSc, RN, is completing a MA (Social Policy) at Massey University,
New Zealand. Her thesis "The Crisis in Auckland's Mental Health Services during
the 1980s", reflects her interest in the impact of Social Policy on health. She
lectures in the department of social sciences at Manukau Institute of Technology,
Auckland, and practises in a variety of settings. Brenda has two children, Richard
and Anna, and lives with her husband in the Waitakere Ranges. Her interests include:
surfing the 'net, growing roses, cryptic crosswords and creating great food. See
