Jim Moorey BA (Hons), Msc., Dip. Psych., C. Psychol., has trained as a clinical psychologist and as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. He is employed as a Research Fellow in the department of psychiatry at Manchester University. He is currently completing a PhD on psychoanalytic epistemology, and working on a randomised controlled trial of psychotherapy with treatment resistant out-patients. See chapter 4.
