John Daniel, RGN, RMN, Cert. Counselling,
is a secular Carmelite who has worked in Calcutta for the Red Cross, in various
nursing specialities in the UK, and as a Social Worker in Toxteth, Liverpool during
an extensive period of social and political upheaval in the '70's and '80's. He
gave up work 4 years ago due to fatigue caused by the HIV virus but has recently
started another career in writing and public speaking, also sitting on the co-ordinating
committee of Catholic Aids Link. See chapter
